During this week we met with our actress, we did not do a casting call because we just went online through Instagram and Facebook and looked for cosplayers based here in Dubai. Jamie found someone who would fit the part for our short film, so we scheduled and interview with her, during the interview we gave her a briefing of what our short film will be and what her role is, she agreed to and took pictures of her leg and arm as reference for our model sheets. These are the pictures we took from the actress as reference for our model:
I also did a concept art for our environment:

But after consulting Amit with this, he disapproved of the concept because it is too flat and the measurement of the building are not right, he showed us some post apocalyptic environment examples to follow with the field of depth and how the perspective is done.
I also consulted Amit with my current design on the leg, he mentioned that it looked okay but it's not how he wanted it, he gave me advice on which design flow to follow, he mentioned about a game called Crysis, the main character's armored suit is a perfect example of the design flow I can go with, and he also mentioned to check out the leg anatomy of a human and study how the muscle flow works and build on from that.
Amit also talked to us about our final scene, he told us that it is a really great shot but again it is a bit too ambitious and he feels like we would not have enough time to create this scene, he told us to talk about it as a group and see what we can come up with. During our break me and my teammates talked about how we can change the scene, we had a lot of ideas how we can change it and still make it look good, and we ended up with having our actress be inside the bunker and instead of the bunker being in Burj Khalifah it will be outside and the last scene will be our actress opening the curtain of the glass sliding door and seeing the ruins of Dubai with Burj Khalifah being there as well, after consulting Amit of this idea he approved of it and mentioned that it is also a great idea for our matte painting. We also mentioned this scene change to our VFX instructor Helgi and he also approved of this scene change.
During the weekend I continued studying the muscle flow of the human anatomy this weekend, through study and research I learned a lot about how the muscle flow of the human leg works, I mainly took my inspiration from this image:

Lower Leg Vascular Anatomy. (n.d.). Retrieved from http://modiran.info/Lower-Leg-Vascular-Anatomy
After studying the human leg anatomy I was able to create a new concept of the new design for the leg:

and this is the colored version I did for it:

I also talked to Ms Gabrielle one of the student supervisors of our campus to asked about the booking form for the equipment we will be using for our shoot and she was able to help me out by emailing the booking form, I forwarded the email to our team lead after.
