On the start of week 11, on Sunday we uploaded our first 4 scenes in the render farm in uni, we were on the 10th que, but then when we got back the next day our renders were all red, there was an error with asset tracking with one of the files.
We double checked the everything and fixed the error by the end of the day, but there was another problem, the que became bigger, but we still uploaded the renders because we still had a lot of time and we were hoping for our renders to start in 2 days.
The following day I started fixing the lights on both my scenes, because I noticed that they were animated, I don't know why though, so I deleted the animation and re arranged the lighting position for the shadows to come out looking great on the renders.
Here is the video for the flag:
Here is the video for the Pose lighting:
I also did the placing of the camera for the Bend scene because everyone was working and that scene needed to be done for it to be ready for the render farm. Here is a screen record for that as well:
I also did the Product Beauty Shot:
On Wednesday we checked out our renders.... they were all red again, and it was still the same error, it was looking for a file that was not even there.
At this point I just told Paul that we need to look for a render farm outside, I called a close friend of mine who is already working in the animation industry and asked him if we could render in their office after I explained to him our situation. Sadly we couldn't because they were using all the computers as well, he suggested a render farm online called Rebus there is only one downside to using Rebus, it is expensive.
So the following day we had another group meeting, and discussed about Rebus farm, we decided to canvas a local render farms, we found to local ones here but they were too costly so at the end we decided to render with Rebus.
