I was not able to attend classes this week, because I had to go out of the country to attend to something personal, but my trip did not stop me from working on my tasks, I still worked hard and was able to complete all that I needed to accomplish before our week 8 presentation.
Our class also had a Movie Screening last Sunday and the movie was Vexille, since I was not able to attend I downloaded the movie instead and watched it last night. Here is my ideology on the movie Vexille:

Vexille is a really great movie, although I noticed that the renders for the movie were kind of low quality, but story wise there was a lot of intensity.
It's story line is in the year 2077, and Japan who left the UN 10 years ago has started to make their move again.
They left the UN because they were illegally building biological robotic technology, so they set out to a deserted island where they hid there to build the robots. Through out those 10 years they've drastically evolved and they became a threat to the US. When they started to make their move again the US government dispatch a special force team SWORD, who are lead by Vexille to investigate on Japan and what is happening inside this closed country.
Shots that I really liked:
The Camera angle of this scene was really on point and I felt the thrill while Vexille runs up the stairs.

The city of US showing how the country has evolved in 2077

The SWORD robot/armors armors are identical to rhinos which is pretty cool, the models for the armor are really well done.
Turning Point

This knife was such a huge turning point of the story, I did not expect the outcome of Vexille having that tiny knife with her.
Tasks
During this week I started building up more on the Life Support and Control module for the Astronaut that I was working on last week, I added more details and did my best to follow the reference sheets I researched on:

I did the unwraps for the Life support, Control Module, and both for each Gloves and Boots :
Gloves Unwrap

Boots Unwrap

Control Module Unwrap

Life Support Unwrap

I also attempted unwrapping the astronaut but found out with Arryl when I asked about updates that suddenly Natasha was refining the topology of the suit and attached the gloves and boots to the suit as well, so I basically unwrapped the boots and gloves for nothing because they did not update me with this information.
Here is a video of my attempt with unwrapping of the suit:
After receiving the model back from Natasha I noticed the arms and legs became too long and there were triangles, So I consulted Arryl about this issue and asked him If I can fix it on my end, he approved. So I did my best to fix these issues :

I downloaded and started studying about Substance Painter because I want to deliver Triple A textures for our astronaut. But once I would run it would always show this message:

But I could still run it a bit smoothly so I proceeded on studying about it.
I had trouble learning about it through researching online so I communicated with Paul since he knew about Substance and asked for his assistance. He sent me a short video of the basics of how to use Substance Painter and from there on I learned by myself.
After learning the basics, I then proceeded importing the one of the Unwraps I've done, and attempted texturing, But every time I tried applying a texture, Substance would either lag for about 30 seconds or it would crash, and so I realized that I cannot texture using Substance Painter in my laptop. I discussed this matter with Paul and I suggested if I could just texture in his laptop once I come back tomorrow and will give my full time and effort with this task to complete texturing before our presentation on Wednesday. He agreed to my suggestion as long as I am sure that I will be able to do it, and I told him that I know that I can.
And so since I still have a bit of time left before I go back to UAE tomorrow, I decided to re model the bar earlier, because my first attempt on modeling our product 2 weeks ago is bad, it looks like a chewing gum wrapper instead of a chocolate bar.
Here is a short video of the modeling of the bar:
I also unwrapped the bar after modeling it.
